Core Areas
Governance and Public Sector Reform
We support national and local governments, civil society, and development agencies in strengthening policy frameworks, institutional accountability, and citizen participation. Our work includes strategic planning, public service audits, policy reviews, and civic engagement mechanisms.
Gender Equality and Social Inclusion
We conduct gender analysis, social inclusion assessments, and design tools for mainstreaming equity across programs and institutions. Our work addresses gender-based violence, women’s empowerment, disability inclusion, and intersectional inequalities in both humanitarian and development settings.
Migration, Displacement, and Statelessness
ARCS provides research and evaluation services in the areas of refugee protection, access to legal identity, reintegration, and durable solutions. We have supported stakeholders in designing and assessing programs targeting refugees, returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities.
Peacebuilding and Conflict Sensitivity
We deliver conflict analyses, peacebuilding program evaluations, and design of conflict-sensitive interventions. Our assignments have included work in fragile and post-conflict settings, community reconciliation efforts, and assessments on the drivers of conflict and social cohesion.
Livelihoods and Economic Inclusion
Our work in this area includes market assessments, entrepreneurship support, youth employment strategies, and financial inclusion. We evaluate economic empowerment initiatives and support inclusive economic development through both formal and informal sectors.
Education and Skills Development
ARCS engages in education sector research, TVET systems assessments, curriculum support, and learning evaluations. We work with education authorities and training institutions to strengthen access, equity, and relevance in both formal and non-formal learning environments.
Climate Change and Environmental Governance
We support organizations and institutions in developing strategies for climate resilience, ecosystem-based adaptation, and sustainable natural resource management. Our work includes environmental policy analysis, climate finance readiness, and locally led adaptation research.
Health and Social Systems
Our health-related work includes program evaluations, access studies, public health assessments, and health systems strengthening. We support initiatives in reproductive health, disability-inclusive health, nutrition, and social protection, often working in coordination with public institutions and development partners.
